Atmospheric plasma treatment is a process that can be used to treat organic or bacteria-infected waste by exploiting the enormous dissociative potential of plasma. The effectiveness of the treatment is due to the high temperatures (+ 1000 C°) which are reached inside the plasma but which do not damage the treated pieces thanks to the reduced exposure times.

In the medical field it can be used for the elimination of waste from operations or organic materials and could be extended to the treatment of instruments used during operations.

In other fields it is used for the removal of glues and residual oils from mechanical processing or for the activation of glass and plastic materials.
